Indie Game Pc Games Early Access Role Playing GameGroovy MOAI, an indie game developer from South Korea, is conducting a beta test demo for their latest cooperative PvE horror extraction game, Dungeon Done, on Steam from September 5th to September 16th. The game features ordinary individuals, driven by the dream of becoming legendary heroes, who venture into dangerous dungeons as scavengers to collect overlooked or left-behind treasures.
Dungeon Done prioritizes teamwork and strategic gameplay over combat, with survival as the main goal. Players must navigate deadly traps, face monsters they thought were long dead, and confront unforeseen horrors while emphasizing avoidance rather than direct engagement. The game supports up to six players, with the dungeon layout changing randomly each time, offering replayability and varying difficulty levels.
Players must cooperate, take on different roles, gather essential gear, and communicate effectively to operate traps, open treasure chests, or escape from specific monsters. Dungeon Done's dark fantasy setting, powered by Unreal Engine 5 and enhanced by immersive sound design, adds to the tension, thrill, and fear within the dungeon.
Groovy MOAI has already implemented three hotfixes based on player feedback, showcasing their dedication to community engagement and rapid improvements. This open communication and quick response suggest the potential for the game's long-term success.
Unlike traditional extraction games focusing on PvP, Dungeon Done emphasizes PvE, with survival depending on teamwork to avoid monsters and escape the dungeon. This unique approach offers a fresh experience to the genre. Players can now try the demo on Steam, with the Early Access launch planned for Q4 2024.
