Role Playing Game Indie Game Pc Games Free To Play

Forteller Games, an immersive audio expert in tabletop gaming, has launched a free quickstart for its debut roleplaying game, Sunset. The quickstart is available exclusively on DriveThruRPG and includes an introduction to the rules, character creation, artwork, and gameplay through a sample adventure. Sunset is a rules-light system that uses the Deck of Many Dice to provide rich storytelling opportunities, with players taking on the role of Threads facing their own deaths in a series of pivotal memories. The game aims for a feeling of hope punk, revealing hope in the face of challenges.

The free quickstart includes over 60 pages of content, five printable pre-generated characters, a form-fillable blank character sheet, a 40-60 minute adventure, and rules for one to five players. The Sunset Core Rulebook will be available in 2025, packed with implemented feedback, new adventures, slicker character creation, and a sensitivity reader. A series of sourcebooks, splat books, and more supplements will also be available.

Sunset deals with heavy subject matter, including death, suicide, violent crimes, and the human psyche. Players are encouraged to approach the game with understanding and care, and to substitute any aspects that their table is uncomfortable with. A content warning is included with the game.

The Hedron Marketplace, a full-fledged ecosystem for TTRPG creators and fans, has also been launched. The platform has long been a go-to destination for GMs who want to craft their own unique RPG worlds, and the new marketplace transforms it into a destination for first-time GMs and seasoned publishers alike.
