STYNGR, a major label partner for music in games, has announced the launch of Soundboard, a new music product that allows players to personalize their gaming experiences with millions of pre-cleared music snippets from Warner Music Group artists. The product is launched in partnership with Weave by Basket Entertainment and is currently available in three popular Roblox games. Soundboard enables players to equip music snippets to express their identities and tie their avatars to special moments from their favorite songs.

The launch of Soundboard adds another monetization layer for video game developers, who will receive a revenue share from every purchase. This follows the successful launch of STYNGR’s Boombox product, which allows developers to launch and monetize playlists in their experiences.

Soundboard is part of STYNGR’s mission to unlock the world of recorded music to the benefit of players, game developers, artists, and rights holders. The product is designed to enhance player immersion and expression, which is particularly important for younger players, with 56% of Gen Z respondents in Roblox’s 2023 Digital Expression, Fashion & Beauty Trends Report saying styling their avatar is more important to them than their physical style.

STYNGR’s technology and products are platform and engine-agnostic, meaning video game developers can integrate STYNGR’s API to bring millions of pre-cleared songs into their PC, mobile, and console games, regardless of which engine they’ve been developed in.
