Hybrid Fiction Games, an indie game developer from the Carolinas, has successfully met its $18,000 Kickstarter goal for their debut game, Stratagem Lost. The game is a single-player, turn-based strategy RPG and visual novel hybrid, set in a punk fantasy world torn apart by war. The Kickstarter campaign, which raised the funds in just 12 days, offers backers the opportunity to receive rewards such as the game's digital artbook and soundtrack, physical prints, and access to community polls.

Stratagem Lost is set to release in Q4 2026, with backers receiving early access to the game's beta builds. The game features unique characters and teambuilding mechanics, with an aggressive and dynamic gameplay style. The story follows a group of soldiers uncovering a dark mystery while battling terrorists and otherworldly entities.

The game's art style is inspired by Dadaism, pop art, alternative rock, and nu-metal, with expressionist, vibrant illustrations and a hard rock soundtrack. Professional voice actors from the industry, including Amanda Hufford, Joshua Waters, and Allanah Fitzgerald, have lent their talents to the game.
