Still Wakes the Deep: Prepare for The Chinese Room's Horror Masterpiece

Pc Games Indie Game Role Playing Game Sony Playstation Microsoft XboxThe Chinese Room, an award-winning game development studio, and Secret Mode, a publishing wing of Sumo Group, have released the final trailer for their upcoming narrative horror game, Still Wakes the Deep. The game is set to launch on June 18, 2024, for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5, and will be available on Game Pass for console and PC. Players can now pre-order the physical PS5 release from all good retailers.
Still Wakes the Deep is a return to the first-person narrative horror genre, featuring Cameron "Caz" McLeary, an offshore oil rig worker, fighting for survival against a vicious storm, treacherous surroundings, and an unknowable horror that has come aboard. The game is The Chinese Room's biggest and most immersive game since the BAFTA-winning Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.
The new trailer introduces Caz's dictatorial boss, Rennick, and provides a glimpse of the disasters that will hit the Beira D and the horror chasing down the rig's crew. The game promises to deliver a harrowing experience, filled with suspense and terror.
Secret Mode, the publisher, is a winner of the Ukie Best UK Publisher 2024 award, and The Chinese Room is an award-winning studio known for its innovative first-person gaming. Still Wakes the Deep is their latest collaboration, following successful titles such as Dear Esther, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture.
