Starless Abyss: Demo of Cosmic Horror Deckbuilder Now Available on Steam

No More Robots publishing label and Konafa Games have announced the release of the demo for their cosmic horror deckbuilder game, Starless Abyss, during Steam Next Fest. In Starless Abyss, players take on the role of a Proxima, whose mission is to destroy the eldritch Outer Gods before they consume the universe.

The game features deep deckbuilding mechanics, roguelike progression, and cosmic horror elements. Players can command a fleet of ships and use powerful cards to fight through relentless cosmic horrors while collecting artifacts and upgrading abilities. The demo, which includes Acts 1 and 2, allows players to battle as Lucid Proxima, a battle-hardened ex-soldier, and later unlock Silo, a Proxima whose brain is preserved in a jar and pilots a single powerful ship.

Players can experiment with different factions, craft devastating combos, and wield sanity-shattering Ritual Cards. The game's full version is set to launch on Steam in 2025. With its immersive gameplay and horror-themed elements, Starless Abyss promises to pull players into a world of tentacle-filled terror and challenging deckbuilding mechanics.
