Starcom: Unknown Space, the open-world space ARPG and sequel to the successful indie game Starcom: Nexus, was released in Early Access in December 2022. The game has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from more than 20,000 players, with over 92% positive ratings on Steam. The game is set to leave Early Access and launch its 1.0 version on September 2, 2024, coinciding with the start of Steam's Space Exploration Fest.

Starcom: Unknown Space offers a large, fully open-world, bespoke universe, an innovative ship-building system, and a vast tech tree with numerous weapons and special abilities to unlock. The game features fast-paced combat where enemies can be shredded for loot, beautifully rendered space, and over 200 custom "anomalies" to investigate. The game's intriguing and deep storyline, filled with alliances, treachery, and a galaxy-spanning mystery, has captivated players.

However, what players love most about Starcom: Unknown Space is the sense of exploration and discovery. The game provides a feeling of anticipation and excitement, as players never know what they will find in the next star system. It could be something terrifying, weird, or wonderful, sometimes all three.

Starcom: Unknown Space is developed by Wx3 Labs, LLC, based in Watertown, MA. The first Starcom was released as a Flash game in 2009 and quickly gained a cult following, with over 2 million web plays. Based on player demand, the first stand-alone PC title Starcom: Nexus was released on Steam and GOG in December 2019 and sold well over 60,000 copies. Starcom: Unknown Space entered Early Access in December 2022.

Players can explore the vast universe of Starcom: Unknown Space, build their own starships, and uncover the mysteries of the galaxy. With its innovative gameplay mechanics, intriguing storyline, and beautiful visuals, Starcom: Unknown Space is a must-play for any space ARPG fan.
