1047 Games has announced the open alpha for Splitgate 2, the sequel to the popular portal-jumping FPS game, Splitgate. The open alpha will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S from February 27 to March 2, 2025. The alpha version will feature new game modes, maps, weapons, and gameplay mechanics, including a 24-player multi-team experience and all-new game modes such as Splitball and Firecracker.

Splitgate 2's open alpha will introduce two new maps, Glacier and Bypass, designed for the new multi-team mode and high-flying action, respectively. The game will also feature eight primary and secondary weapons across three factions, as well as nine pieces of equipment that deepen the strategic possibilities.

The open alpha will include improved versions of classic game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Hotzone, based on community feedback. The full version of Splitgate 2 is set to launch in 2025 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
