Indie game publishing label No More Robots and developer Cheesemaster Games have released a significant update for the life-sim adventure game Spirittea. The update, called "The Phantom Friends Update," is now available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Windows 10.

Spirittea is a cozy game that follows the story of a writer who moves to the countryside to work on their book. However, things take a supernatural turn when they encounter a magical cat named Wonyan and find themselves running an old bathhouse for spirits. The game features various activities, such as fishing, cooking, and karaoke, as well as character and house customization.

The Phantom Friends Update is the most significant update for Spirittea since its launch in November 2023, adding new content and improvements. Players can now summon spirit companions using pet shrines and ritual scrolls, meet a new spirit called Poege, and encounter new spirits and quests. The update also includes a new spirit merchant, bug fixes, gameplay tweaks, and new tutorials.
