The game, which is set to launch out of beta later in 2024, is now available to wishlist in the Meta Quest Store. Spatial Ops is a first-person shooter that brings the game to life in the player's own environment, allowing them to turn any real-world space into an urban battlefield.
In the game, players take on the role of a Spatial Ops agent, a member of an elite agency tasked with defending Earth from mysterious and dangerous threats. The launch version of the game will include new features such as reduced setup time, pre-set and movable maps, performance optimization, more gameplay, more enemies, and more modes than the early beta version.
The early beta version of Spatial Ops, which was released previously and is still available on SideQuest, features a PvP mode that supports 1-8 players on Meta Quest 2, 3, or Pro. Players can form teams with friends or go solo against bots and compete in Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Domination modes, or go rogue in Free-For-All mode.
Spatial Ops is a significant step forward in immersive gaming and illustrates the potential of mixed reality technology in the shooter genre.
