Space Architect's Major Update Brings Realistic Heat Mechanics & 9x Faster Load Times

The base-building simulation game, Space Architect, has just received its most significant update to date, offering numerous improvements and additions. The update includes a reworked temperature system, where each grid cell now tracks heat independently, bringing a new level of realism and challenge. To help players manage the new heat mechanics, advanced cooling tools such as cooling pipes and an Active Cooler have been added.

The update also features technical enhancements, most notably, a complete rewrite of the save/load system, reducing load times by 9 times. Other improvements include doubled transport pipe speed, over 20 new ambient music tracks, persistent device panels and overlays, scrollable image sections in the knowledgebase, updated storage visuals with real-time fill bars, in-world device naming, UI and localization improvements, and dozens of quality-of-life tweaks and polish.

This update was built directly from community feedback, and the developers extend their thanks to all players who reported bugs, suggested features, and helped shape the game's development. Space Architect continues to evolve, with even more planned for the future, including new devices, interactions, and potentially dynamic crew responses to temperature.
