Maximum Entertainment has announced that Smalland: Survive the Wilds now supports cross-play, allowing players on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 to play together. The update also introduces guilds, which let players form and manage persistent guilds with their own tree encampments, as well as new features like companion summoning, stables, and a new creature to discover.

Guilds allow players to form server-wide groups, build and customize their own guild tree encampment, and resuscitate fallen guild members with a new consumable. Companions now have a bigger role in the game, with the ability to house them in different stable types based on their size, summon them at will, and recall them back to camp using a homecoming totem.

The update also introduces two new tree encampments in the northern Overlands and a new quest featuring the Rufous-Bellied Tit, an enigmatic creature never before seen in Smalland.
