Action Game Early Access Role Playing Game Pc Games Sony Playstation Microsoft Xbox Indie GameBokeh Game Studio and game developer Keiichiro Toyama have released the final details and images for their upcoming horror action adventure game, Slitterhead. The game takes place in the city of Kowlong, where humans must fight for survival against the Slitterheads, monstrous creatures that feed on human brains. The spirit entity Hyoki also exists to eliminate every Slitterhead. The narrative of the game explores the complexities of humanity as it intertwines the fates of humans and creatures.
The game features several characters, including Blake, the commander of SPEU, an organization formed to counter the Slitterhead threat. Betty is an elderly, wealthy woman who awaits Hyoki's arrival, while Lisa is a nurse who worries about Alex, who hunts Slitterheads at night. Players can use various skills, such as Blake's Bloody Shot and Betty's Indomitable. SPEU members are formidable adversaries who can negate frontal attacks and seal blood weapons.
During exploration, players can find memory fragments that reveal lost memories or objectives. Shrines are located throughout the city, offering formidable enemies and valuable rewards. Players can change costumes and masks in the Intermission Menu.
Slitterheads are mysterious creatures that mimic human heads and animate corpses to disguise themselves. They can imitate personalities and behaviors, ranging from aimless wandering to manipulating humans. When they sense danger, they grow into a Complete Form, exposing their true nature and increasing their power.
Slitterhead will be released on November 8 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Epic Game Store and Steam. The game is priced at $49.99 and features a PS5 Day 1 Edition in North America distributed by XSEED Games. The edition includes a physical copy of the game, a CD of original songs, an artbook, a sticker sheet, and a custom outer box. The title has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB .
