The Arcade Crew and developer Club Sandwich have announced their new game, Shuffle Tactics, a dark-fantasy roguelite RPG with tactical deck-building elements. The game is set to release on PC in 2025, but players can get their hands on an alpha demo on Steam on July 24, 2023.

Shuffle Tactics takes place in the medieval world of Asteria, where King Ogma's attempt to resurrect his wife has instead cursed the land with a mysterious force called the Glimmer. This force has given special powers to the game's heroes while corrupting the inhabitants of Asteria, including the king himself. Players must uncover the secret behind this curse and defeat the corrupted king to restore peace to Astéria.

The game's combat system features turn-based tactical gameplay with card-based actions. Players can experiment with hundreds of cards and utilize the terrain to their advantage to maximize their deck's effectiveness. The game features 26 types of enemies and 18 boss battles, with 20 different acolytes joining the player's party, each with their own combat abilities.

Shuffle Tactics boasts stunning pixel art graphics and strategic gameplay, with positioning and terrain elevation changes playing a crucial role in battles. The game is being developed by Maxime Briand, who previously worked on the mobile game Hair Dash. The Arcade Crew is known for publishing games like Blazing Chrome, Infernax, The Last Spell, and Young Souls.
