Shogun Showdown Launches: A Rogue-like, Deck-building Combat Game with 96% Positive Reviews

Pc Games Indie Game Role Playing Game Early AccessShogun Showdown, a turn-based combat game with rogue-like and deck-building elements, has been released in version 1.0 by Italian solo developer Roboatino and French publisher Goblinz Publishing. The game, which features pixel-art visuals inspired by Japanese culture, has received positive reviews during its 14-month stay on Steam Early Access, with an average user score of 96% on Steam.
Shogun Showdown has been praised by critics for its fair and challenging game design, satisfying mechanics, and beautiful pixel art visuals. The game features turn-based combat where every action counts, with players required to carefully position themselves, build up, and unleash attacks at the right time. Players can also upgrade their attack tiles and combo them, gain new skills, and build the best deck they can before facing the Shogun.
The full version of the game includes new content such as a new location (Ieyasu's garden) and boss (Ieyasu the Patient), new elite enemy type (Corrupted) and enemy (Corrupted progeny), a true final boss after Shogun fight: the Corrupted Soul, lore, new skills, quests, tiles, a new hero (Chain Master), and a new "Stats" page in camp Archive.
Roboatino, the developer of Shogun Showdown, is based in the Netherlands and has developed the game as his first project. Goblinz Publishing, a French indie game developer and publisher specializing in strategy and management games, has published the game. The studio's first title Dungeon Rushers was released in 2016, followed by Robothorium in 2018. Goblinz has since worked on numerous other titles such as Legend of Keepers, Terraformers, Hero’s Hour, and more.
