SERUM Now on Steam Early Access: A Co-op Survival Adventure with a Twist

Game Island and Toplitz Productions have released the single-player survival adventure game SERUM on Steam Early Access for PC. In SERUM, players must survive in a contaminated wilderness by injecting themselves with a mysterious elixir (serum) that prolongs their existence, enhances abilities, and upgrades weaponry. The game features a dark narrative, unique crafting system, and mutated enemies.

During early access, Game Island plans to add quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, additional translations, achievements, combat options, a UI revamp, a canyon biome, and new mutated adversaries. The game is available for $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99 with a 20% launch discount for two weeks. A Serum Ultimate Edition is also available, which includes a SERUM story codex, digital cocktail book, and official guide.

SERUM's gameplay involves exploring the world, hunting and setting traps for mutated creatures, managing resources, and solving the human catastrophe and Blight infection. The game's early access roadmap includes community feedback, bug fixing, quality-of-life improvements, and new content. Toplitz Productions, the game's publisher, is a German-Austrian company that develops and publishes games for all platforms, focusing on heartfelt and creative titles. Game Island S.A., the game's developer, is a subsidiary of The Dust S.A. and specializes in producing games for Steam and console platforms.
