Digital Extremes, the developer of the upcoming free-to-play fantasy action RPG Soulframe, announced that players can sign up for the game's pre-alpha builds, known as Soulframe Preludes, by July 20 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The studio revealed a full look at the Bromius Omen Beast boss fight, a new enemy named Wazzard of Wastes, and the hazardous Neath’uns underbelly. Enhanced character customization and a vision for combat progression were also highlighted. Players can create an account at Soulframe.com to secure an Envoy name and access the game's current content and adventures. The team is working on improving combat fluidity, introducing player social hubs, and adding asynchronous player messaging with World Trees. Customizable combat progression, inspired by historical medieval martial arts manuals, is also in the works. Soulframe is an open-world fantasy adventure from Digital Extremes, the creators of Warframe, and is heavily influenced by themes of nature and restoration.
