Sea of Thieves has released its Season 13 update, featuring the return of the villainous Captain Flameheart. Flameheart's monstrous flagship, the Burning Blade, roams the seas with a crew of Obsidian Skeletons, and players have the opportunity to take control of it by defeating its crew and performing rituals at Ancient Temples. Serving Flameheart allows players to access powerful weapons and tools, while defeating the Burning Blade and sinking the ship grants the Blade of Souls melee weapon.

In addition to the Flameheart storyline, Season 13 offers new commendations, rewards, and 100 levels of Seasonal Renown to climb, with unique cosmetics, gold, Doubloons, and Ancient Coins up for grabs. The Pirate Emporium has also added new items, including five varieties of tropical toucan pets and the Radiant Comet cosmetic set.
