Samurai Pizza Cats Returns with Video Game & Original Voice Cast for 35th Anniversary

Action Game Early Access Indie Game Pc Games Role Playing Game Virtual Reality GamingThe classic 1990s anime, Samurai Pizza Cats, is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a brand-new video game titled Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past. The game is being developed by the Dutch studio BLAST ZERO and will be distributed globally by Red Dunes Games from the United Arab Emirates. The 2D Action RPG will allow players to switch between members of the Pizza Cats and use their unique abilities to solve puzzles and engage in battles within the world of Little Tokyo.
The game's development was announced alongside a special trailer featuring the original voice cast, both from the English and Japanese versions of the show. The English cast includes Rick Jones as Speedy Cerviche, Sonja Ball as Polly Esther, Terrence Scammell as Guido Anchovy and Narrator, and Dean Hagopian as Seymour "The Big" Cheese. The Japanese cast includes Kappei Yamaguchi as Yattarou, Ai Orikasa as Pururun, Ikuya Sawaki as Kitsunezuka Ko’on-no-Kami, Naoki Tatsuta as Karasu Gennarisai, and Kenyu Horiuchi as Narrator. Seiichirō Yamashita joins the cast as Sukashii, taking over the role from Jurota Kosugi.
The trailer also features comments from Kappei Yamaguchi, Ai Orikasa, and Seiichirō Yamashita, expressing their excitement about the game and the opportunity to reprise their roles. The game is expected to be released on all major platforms, but a release date has not been announced yet. Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past is designed to bring the beloved anime to a new generation of fans while staying true to its roots.
