RPG Developer Bakin 1.8 Update: Mask Function, Chinese Support, and Spring Sale

SmileBoom Co.Ltd. has released version 1.8 of its game creation tool, RPG Developer Bakin, which includes a mask function in the Layout Tool, Chinese support, and several other features. The update also offers a 10% discount on RPG Developer Bakin and DLCs until March 15, 2024, as part of the SmileBoom Spring Sale 2024.

The new mask function in the Layout Tool allows users to set an image of a desired shape for masking, display a mini map in a circular shape, or cut out a character image into a desired shape. This feature provides even more freedom in designing the screen interface. The update also adds support for Simplified and Traditional Chinese, making Bakin user-friendly for Chinese-speaking users.

Other features added in the update include changes to the interface for setting skill/item abilities in the Database, an increase to 10 action buttons that can be assigned functions in events, and controller vibration in response to screen shaking.

The SmileBoom Spring Sale 2024 is currently taking place on the Steam Store, offering a 10% discount on RPG Developer Bakin and DLCs containing various resources. Bundled editions that include the sale products will also receive discounts.
