SmileBoom Co.Ltd. has announced the release of Update Ver. 1.9 for "RPG Developer Bakin," a game creation tool. The update includes a mask animation function, battle command addition function, and Chinese-style 2D assets, which are now available for free. The mask animation function allows users to animate the area of an image to be cropped, while the battle command addition function enables the addition of battle commands for casts and narrowing down the list of skills and items displayed during battles. The Chinese-style 2D assets include pixel art style casts, monsters, icon images, and layout data for on-screen UI.

SmileBoom is also currently holding the SmileBoom Golden Week Sale 2024 on Steam, offering a 10% discount on RPG Developer Bakin and various paid DLCs. The sale includes discounts on bundled versions that include eligible products.
