Roots of Pacha, the co-op farming and life simulation game set in the Stone Age, is coming to Xbox One and Series X|S consoles on July 31, 2024. The game's version 1.2 will also be released on the same day for Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox, with full feature parity between all versions. This update includes support for Korean and Traditional Chinese languages, as well as new gameplay features and quality-of-life improvements.

Version 1.2 introduces school-age as a new phase of development for children, alongside newborn and toddler phases. Players can now enroll their children in School, where they can bond with others, develop their personalities, and discover their desired professions. Each child's combination of parentage, personality, and profession leads to unique dialog and gifts to earn.

Romance options have also been expanded, with new dialogue, Union reception options, and the ability to smooch beloved partners during the Union ceremony. Players can now toggle the "Available to date" setting to disable dating advances from others. Customization options have been added, including new skin tones and hair colors, as well as new mount options like mammoths, spiders, cave lions, and wolves.

The update also includes quality-of-life improvements, such as intermediate saves, the ability to put multiple items in processors at once, new sorting methods, and UI-free screenshots. Players can now ride pets as mounts, and as friendship progresses, pets can begin to fetch items from different areas. The olla, a new watering Idea, has also been added to help save time, especially in the early and middle stages of the game.

Roots of Pacha on Xbox One and Series X|S will feature full feature parity and crossplay co-op support with other platforms. Players can discover the roots of humanity through new ideas and inventions like animal taming and cold storage, and lead the Pachan clan and their surrounding neighbors to an age of peaceful prosperity.
