Apogee Entertainment, in collaboration with developer Julian Creutz and co-developer Skydevilpalm, has announced the Ice Dungeon Update for their dungeon-designing sandbox adventure, Quest Master. This update introduces Coldfang Grotto, a frozen dungeon filled with monsters, puzzles, and traps, and is part of the highly-anticipated 1.0 launch of the game, set for Spring 2025.

Coldfang Grotto offers new mechanics, such as the ability to freeze objects in Maker Mode, wield a freezing boomerang, and turn bodies of water into temporary ice paths. The update also includes new floor tiles, enemies, and traps, allowing players to create more intricate dungeons.

With the 1.0 launch, players will have access to a story-driven Single Player Campaign, set in the game's world of Aetheria. This campaign features six elemental dungeons, unique challenges, and a growing Castle Town. The campaign is designed to inspire players to create their own custom dungeons.

Julian Creutz, the lead developer, expressed his excitement about the community's creativity and the game's potential. The game's co-developer, Skydevilpalm, has also contributed to various other projects, including the reimagining of Qbert and the mobile title Trigger Heroes.

Apogee Entertainment, founded by industry veteran Scott Miller, has a long history in the gaming industry, having published groundbreaking titles like Wolfenstein 3D and Duke Nukem 3D. Today, Apogee continues to support indie developers and bring innovative games to players worldwide.
