Quantum Threshold: Unleashing High-Impact VR Action for All

Vaki Games, a Finnish indie studio, has released the VR roguelike shooter game Quantum Threshold for Meta Quest 2 and 3. The game is set in a dystopian, cyberpunk future where players, in the role of a wheelchair-bound survivor, battle through levels filled with AI-controlled enemies. Quantum Threshold is designed for seated VR gameplay, offering flexible control options, including thumbstick navigation and physical chair rotation, making it accessible for players of all mobility levels.

The game features deep roguelite progression with new weapons, enemy patterns, and surprises in every run. Players can choose between arcade-style or realistic ballistics, with punchy feedback and dismemberment effects. The wheelchair rig can be upgraded with spikes, additional holsters, and tactical mods to suit the player's fighting style. The enemies in the game are Techno Wraiths, which come in four classes, and players will encounter virus-infested boss entities and a hostile world that constantly pushes back.

Quantum Threshold is built with accessibility in mind, offering a fully accessible VR shooter experience designed from scratch for seated play, with intuitive controls and multiple comfort options. The game's development is led by Teemu Jyrkinen, who believes that accessibility and high-impact VR action can go hand in hand. Vaki Games is a visionary indie studio dedicated to pushing the boundaries of immersive and accessible VR gameplay.
