Indie Game Role Playing Game Pc Games Nintendo Switch Sony PlaystationKaizen Game Works, an award-winning independent game studio, has announced its latest game, Promise Mascot Agency. This open-world mascot management crime drama is set in the cursed town of Kaso-Machi, where players take on the role of Michi, a former yakuza lieutenant, tasked with turning a failing mascot agency into a profitable business.
Exploring Kaso-Machi in Michi's upgradable truck, players will recruit mascots by negotiating their hopes, dreams, and desires. Trained mascots can be sent on jobs, earning money, experience, and spreading the agency's reputation. The game features tactical card usage during challenges, with Hero Cards representing characters Michi meets in Kaso-Machi.
Collaborating with Ikumi Nakamura and Mai Mattori on concept and art direction, Promise Mascot Agency boasts a unique Yakuza family, a repurposed love hotel, and a cast of unforgettable mascots. The game features a soundtrack by Irish musician Alpha Chrome Yayo and Japanese industry veteran Ryo Koike.
Promise Mascot Agency is set to release in 2025 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows. The game has received financial assistance from Kowloon Nights and the UK Global Screen Fund. Kaizen Game Works is a UK-based independent studio focused on player agency and story interactivity, with their first title, Paradise Killer, winning multiple global awards.
