GIANTS Software, the publisher behind the popular Farming Simulator series, has entered into a technical partnership with Straight4 Studios to power the upcoming sim racing game, Project Motor Racing. The game is set to be released in 2025 and will be using the GIANTS Engine, which was developed in-house and has been continuously updated since its debut in 2008.

The partnership between the two studios began in 2023, with both teams working together to optimize the engine for sim racing-specific duties. The GIANTS Engine is known for its ability to meet the latest technical requirements for PC and console gaming, making it an ideal choice for Project Motor Racing.

Boris Stefan, CSO & Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that both studios share a vision of creating world-class simulation games. Kevin Boland, CDO at Straight4, also shared his enthusiasm, highlighting the shared deep simulation roots and high production values of both studios.

Ian Bell, CEO at Straight4 Studios, noted that developing a new generation of sim racing games requires solving hard questions, including how to align the state-of-the-art physics engine with the graphic fidelity that fans demand. According to Bell, the GIANTS Engine provides the solution, allowing the studio to build a beautiful simulator while ensuring frame rates do not suffer.

Project Motor Racing is currently in development for PC and consoles, and fans can visit the newly launched ProjectMotorRacing.com, giants-software.com, Straight4.com, and the GIANTS Software press area for more information.
