Scarlet Moon has announced Prescription for Sleep: Heavenly Avatar, a jazz album that pays tribute to Yuzo Koshiro's soundtrack for the game ActRaiser. The album is the 15th in the Billboard-charting jazz series and features key themes from the original ActRaiser. It is a collaboration between Koshiro and the duo GENTLE LOVE, comprised of Metal Gear Solid series composer Norihiko Hibino on saxophone and Etrian Odyssey/PersonaQ performer AYAKI on piano.

Prescription for Sleep: Heavenly Avatar is now available for pre-order on all digital storefronts and will be released on May 17, 2024. The album includes a digital booklet available on Bandcamp, featuring commentary from Koshiro, an interview with GENTLE LOVE, recording notes, comics by illustrator Maximo Lorenzo, and more.

The album features jazz-infused tracks, a departure from ActRaiser's original orchestral compositions. Koshiro and Hibino have a longstanding friendship and have collaborated on various projects in the past. Scarlet Moon's Jayson Napolitano played a role in bringing the two together for this album, which celebrates ten years of the series.

Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies kicked off on May 19, 2014, and has since enjoyed tens of millions of streams across 14 previous releases. Scarlet Moon is a music label that supports creators big and small, handles audio needs, is involved in music publishing, and promotes game music. Their sister brand, Violet Moon, promotes independent videogames.
