The modern real-time strategy game, Tempest Rising, developed by Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms label and Knights Peak, is set to launch on April 24, 2025. The game is now available for pre-order on PC via Steam at a price of GBP £34.99 for the Standard Edition and GBP £40.99 for the Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition includes a week of advanced access to the full game, a digital artbook, the full digital game soundtrack, and the “Commander Pack” DLC featuring exclusive in-game cosmetics.

Players can try out the game's multiplayer demo, available until February 3 as part of Steam’s Real-Time Strategy Fest. The demo features three maps for multiplayer battles and PvE skirmish mode against AI opponents. The game is set in an alternate timeline where the Cuban Missile Crisis went nuclear, and players can command two asymmetrical factions with unique harvesting models, resource systems, and distinct rosters of units.

Tempest Rising features classic RTS base-building with fast, fluid, and hard-hitting combat, two epic single-player campaigns, skirmish, custom games, and ranked multiplayer matchmaking with Glicko-2 rating. Saber Interactive is a worldwide publisher and developer with 13 studios in the Americas and Europe, and 3D Realms is a publisher known for iconic games like Duke Nukem, Max Payne, and Ghostrunner.
