Playism and Team Ladybug have announced that players can now pre-order the metroidvania game, Blade Chimera, on Nintendo eShop with a 10% discount. A bigger discount of 20% OFF is available for those who already own other Team Ladybug titles on Nintendo Switch. The game will also be available on Steam with a surprise collaborative bundle.

Blade Chimera is a brand new original metroidvania by Team Ladybug, the creators of Touhou Luna Nights and Record of Lodoss War -Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. The game features a larger map than any past Team Ladybug title, with various side quests and a main story campaign. Players can explore a futuristic world and enjoy an occult cyberpunk metroidvania.

In Blade Chimera, players control Shin, a demon hunter with no memory of his past, and his demon companion, Lux. As Shin defeats demons and levels up, new skills can be unlocked via a skill tree. Players can experiment with various armaments and create their own style of combat.

The game is set in a world changed forever by the sudden appearance of a demonic horde. Thirty years later, a religious group called the Holy Union has carved out a small but stable enclave of survivors. Players begin a quest to learn about their past, fight brutal battles against terrible demons, explore a corrupted and dangerous world, and regain what was once theirs.

Blade Chimera will launch on Steam and Nintendo Switch on January 16, 2025. Players can pre-order the game on Nintendo eShop and try the demo on Steam. The demo save file can carry over to the full version of the game on Steam.
