Pokémon Primary Schools' Cup Finals Inspire with Teamwork and Talent

The 2025/26 Pokémon Primary Schools' Cup, a joint initiative by The Pokémon Company International and the English Schools' Football Association (ESFA), concluded with the National Finals at Stoke City Stadium. The tournament saw over 50,000 children from primary schools compete, emphasizing community, teamwork, and friendship. The U11 Schools' Cup Champions were Wolfson Hillel Primary School, U11 Girls' Cup Champions were Valley Gardens Middle School, and U11 Small Schools' Cup Champions were Kelsall Community Primary School.

The partnership between the ESFA and The Pokémon Company International has been successful for three years, promoting positive values and skills through football. The tournament provided a platform for young talent to showcase their skills and grow closer with their teammates.

Peter Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing at The Pokémon Company International, expressed pride in the partnership and the positive impact it has on children's lives. Nick Loftus, ESFA Chair, praised the players' attitude and sportsmanship throughout the season and encouraged them to continue their football journey.

The U11 Schools' Cup, U11 Girls' Cup, and U11 Small Schools' Cup competitions offer a progression pathway for teams, culminating in the National Finals. The Pokémon Company International remains committed to supporting young talent and promoting joy and connection through sport.

The English Schools' FA, founded in 1904, is responsible for governing schools' football in England, providing over 1 million opportunities for school pupils each year. The association organizes National Schools' Cup competitions, generating footballing activity for around 700,000 children each season. The ESFA aims to create equal and inclusive access to the sport, particularly in girls' football.
