Pc Games Early Access Role Playing Game Strategy Indie Game

PlaySide, an Australian video game developer and publisher, has regained the full publishing rights for its PC title Age of Darkness: Final Stand from Team17. The company is now focused on delivering the game's 1.0 launch out of Early Access, introducing new content and updates for both new and returning players.

PlaySide's decision to reacquire the Age of Darkness: Final Stand IP is in line with its commitment to investing in the development and communities of its original IPs. The game, which features a real-time strategy experience in a dark fantasy world, has been well-received since its Early Access release.

The reacquisition follows PlaySide's formation of an internal publishing division in 2022 and the addition of new IPs to its portfolio. PlaySide is excited to realize its vision for Age of Darkness: Final Stand and is planning updates around the game's content roadmap, multiplayer development, and the path to 1.0 launch.

Players can access Age of Darkness: Final Stand on Steam and join the game's Discord or follow its social media channels for updates. PlaySide, founded in Melbourne, is an award-winning studio known for games such as Age of Darkness: Final Stand, the Dumb Ways to Die franchise, KILL KNIGHT, and WORLD BOSS, as well as the publishers for MOUSE, Thrive: Heavy Lies the Crown, and Dynasty of the Sands.
