ATLUS has announced the release of a free demo for the demon-collecting RPG, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, on Steam, with a PlayStation release following on November 15th at 5am GMT. The demo features two story paths: "Canon of Vengeance," a new story, and "Canon of Creation," the original story from SMTV. Players can explore a post-apocalyptic Tokyo, now known as Da’at, where angels and demons are at war. Progress made in the demo will carry over to the full game.

The demo release comes after a patch earlier this month on all platforms, which added a new demon, Kishin Marici, fan-selected demon navigators (Hell Biker, Idun, Fionn mac Cumhaill, Mothman, Mara, and Cleopatra), and a new elite difficulty for the Virtual Trainer.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is the definitive version of the critically acclaimed RPG, featuring a new storyline, brand-new characters, a new area to explore, a new dungeon, more accessible gameplay, an improved battle system, and new demon experiences. The game has received positive reviews, with a metascore of 90 (PC) and 87 (PS5) on Metacritic as of today.
