Pc Games Indie Game Early Access Free To Play Role Playing Game

Exabyte Games, an indie studio known for their survival strategy base-builder Final Outpost, has announced the release of a demo for the game's Definitive Edition. The demo is now available on Steam and features new content such as a trading system, difficulty modes, save checkpoints, UI and environment improvements, cloud saving, controller support, and a new building called the Radio Tower.

Final Outpost was originally released in 2020 as a hobby project and has since gained over 1 million downloads. The Definitive Edition, which is set to be released in Q2 2025, has already gained over 6,000 wishlists on Steam. The demo has been well-received, with a video by streamer Orbital Potato gaining over 90,000 views and becoming one of his most popular videos covering a single game.

In addition to the new features, the demo also includes a new scoring system that allows players to compete with friends to build the best Outpost before time runs out. The demo can be played until the beginning of the first Winter.

Final Outpost: Definitive Edition places individual-level role assignment and resource management at the core of its gameplay. Players must construct and upgrade buildings, grow their population, assign jobs, craft tools, research new skills, arm citizens, and build turrets to protect their settlement from zombie hordes.

Exabyte Games is an indie studio founded in 2020 by two brothers who are passionate about strategy games. They have a team of dedicated part-time colleagues and have released a hobby project in 2020 and are currently working on Final Outpost: Definitive Edition. The game will be available on PC, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS, and will support multiple languages. The price is yet to be announced.
