"Ova Magica," a highly anticipated JRPG described as a mix between "Pokemon" and "Harvest Moon," launches into Early Access on Steam today, July 23rd. The game has been developed by a woman-led team and has received extensive hype online, becoming the #6 most funded game campaign of 2021 on Kickstarter. The early access version of the game is feature complete and offers an estimated 20-30+ hours of gameplay.

In "Ova Magica," players move to Clover Town to take care of a farmstead and discover Blobs, cute creatures that can become companions and help around the farm and in battles. Skinny Frog, the game's developer, is a small woman-led German studio run by Claudia Gorsky, a programmer and mom dedicated to creating fun, colorful, and family-friendly games. Top Hat Studios, Inc., the game's publisher, supports Japanese-inspired, retro-themed, and highly creative titles, providing a suite of resources to its developers.
