Operation Night Strikers: 4 Arcade Classics Return on Switch & Steam this August

Clear River Games and TAITO have announced the release of Operation Night Strikers, a compilation of four classic arcade games from TAITO's golden age. The compilation includes Operation Wolf, Operation Thunderbolt, Night Striker, and Space Gun, all of which are lightgun shooters or driving games. The games have been updated for modern gaming audiences and will be available on Nintendo Switch and Steam via digital download on August 7, 2025.

Operation Wolf is a hostage rescue mission, while Operation Thunderbolt is a sequel that also involves rescuing hostages. Night Striker is a game where players assume the role of an elite member of the UNSTAF's main offensive unit and must destroy an enemy terrorist organization. Space Gun is a game set in 2039 AD, where players must investigate an unexplained incident on a space station and fight off monsters.

Operation Night Strikers includes features such as authentic CRT filters, gadgets that display useful information, multiple arcade versions of each title, save/load functionality, and online leaderboards. Gamers can use Joy-Con motion sensing controls on Nintendo Switch or a USB mouse or cursor on Nintendo Switch and Steam to play the games.

Clear River Games is a publisher that specializes in classic and retro games, while TAITO is a renowned video game publisher known for its classic arcade games. Operation Night Strikers will be available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch and can be wishlisted on Steam. A physical edition for Nintendo Switch and a Collector's Edition will also be available on January 23, 2026.
