Operation Medic Bag: PAYDAY 3's First Major Update Arrives

On March 1, 2024, the developers of PAYDAY 3 launched "Operation Medic Bag," an initiative aimed at addressing community expectations and enhancing the game's quality. The operation includes a variety of features and improvements, such as rotating security modifiers, an "unready" button, improved controller settings, and support for several Nvidia technologies. Additionally, the first patch under this initiative includes over 300 fixes and adjustments to the game.

The development team has also announced that updates under Operation Medic Bag will be more frequent, allowing for more consistent progress and community feedback. Some of the upcoming improvements include support for DirectX 12, Nvidia Image Scaling (NIS), Nvidia Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing (DLAA) v3.5, Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) v3.5, and a new challenge in the "Cook Off" heist called "Kiss the Chef."

On February 19, the team held an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Reddit, where they answered questions from the community. The session covered various topics related to the game, including development, design, and future plans.

Operation Medic Bag is a result of a team consisting of veteran developers from different areas of the game's development, including design, community, communication, and production, reviewing and revisiting all aspects of PAYDAY 3 to identify the most impactful changes and reprioritize the development pipeline.

PAYDAY 3 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by Deep Silver. It is the third installment in the PAYDAY series and was released in September 2023 for PC, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and streaming service GeForce Now. The game follows the four most well-known clown-masked criminals in recent video game history as they return from retirement and plan new heists.
