Opera GX, the browser designed for gamers, has announced a significant update to its built-in AI, Aria. This update brings the latest AI features from Opera's experimental AI Feature Drops program to Opera GX. The new features include image generation, voice output, image understanding, and improvements to the chat.

The update introduces image generation capabilities to Aria, allowing it to create unique images from text prompts using Google's Imagen2 model. Users can generate up to 30 images per day and have the option to regenerate images. Additionally, Aria can now read answers out loud using Google's WaveNet model, benefiting those who use screen readers, multitask, or prefer hearing information.

Aria's image understanding capabilities enable users to upload images and ask Aria questions about them during the chat conversation. For example, users can identify an unknown headset's brand and model or ask Aria to solve a math problem by taking a picture of it.

These new features aim to make Aria more accessible and capable for the gaming community. The update is now available for all Opera GX users.

Opera GX is a browser developed by Opera, offering customization options such as color themes, sound effects, background music, and a gaming-inspired design. It also includes features that limit the browser's CPU, RAM, and network bandwidth usage, making it less resource-hungry for gaming. The browser also includes a Hot Tabs Killer feature and GX Cleaner to manage resources and purge old files.
