Indie Game Pc Games Nintendo Switch Role Playing GameHoochoo Game Studios and publisher Digerati have released the quirky second-hand shop simulator, No Umbrellas Allowed, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is already available on PC and Nintendo Switch. No Umbrellas Allowed is set in a futuristic sci-fi dystopia where greed is a crime, and the populace's emotions are suppressed by a drug called 'Fixer,' which is administered via rainfall.
Players find themselves in the position of manager at a well-known second-hand shop called Darcy's, and by learning the tools and tricks of the trade, they must earn money, raise the shop's reputation, and pay off their debts while avoiding unwanted attention from AVAC (Association for Victims of Avarice Crimes). As a store manager at Darcy’s, players will appraise, value, buy and sell a vast array of intriguing items. They must evaluate the items customers bring in, haggle over prices, and try to strike a balance between keeping customers happy and ensuring a deal is profitable.
Players must also maintain the shop's reputation by consistently offering good item appraisals, recommendations, and deals. However, they must be cautious as umbrellas are strictly prohibited in Ajik City due to their ability to protect against Fixerain. Any umbrellas submitted to Darcy’s must be handed over to AVAC, failing which will result in punishment. No Umbrellas Allowed is a unique game that offers players a different experience in a futuristic sci-fi dystopia. The game's key features include evaluating, haggling, profiting, maintaining reputation, and dealing with umbrellas. Digerati, the publisher, is dedicated to helping independent developers bring their creations to market and into the hands of gamers. Hoochoo Game Studios, the developer, is a Korean game developer based in Seoul, fascinated by the experience that only games can give.
