Nioh 3 Announced for 2026 with Free Demo Available Now

KOEI TECMO America and developer Team NINJA have announced Nioh 3, the latest addition to their dark samurai action RPG series, set to release in early 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via Steam. A free demo is now available exclusively on PlayStation 5.
Nioh 3 is set in Japan's Sengoku period, where players control a young warrior destined to become the next Shogun. The game features an open field for exploration and intense encounters with monstrous yokai. New to the series are two fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja. Samurai style is reminiscent of previous Nioh titles, while Ninja style focuses on quick movements and "Ninjitsu" techniques. Players can switch between the two styles seamlessly during combat.
The Nioh 3 Alpha Demo is now available on PlayStation 5 until June 18, 2025. Feedback from players is encouraged, as it will help shape the final game. Clearing the demo grants a special helmet for use in the full game upon release.
KOEI TECMO America, a subsidiary of KOEI TECMO HOLDINGS CO., LTD., publishes Nioh 3. The company is known for the Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, Tecmo Bowl, and Fatal Frame series. Nioh 3 will be available for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via Steam in early 2026.
