Dotemu and The Game Kitchen have announced the release date of their upcoming 2D side-scrolling action platformer, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. The game will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox on July 31, 2025. A playable demo will be released during Steam Next Fest.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is set in the world of the original NES Ninja Gaiden, where the veil between the human and demon realms has broken. Players control Kenji Mozu, a Hayabusa Clan Ninja, who must rise to slay the forces of evil. The game features fast-paced action and precise platforming, with two playable characters, Kenji and Kumori, each with their own unique abilities.

The game's soundtrack is composed by Keiji Yamagishi, Ryuichi Niita, Kaori Nakabai, and Sergio de Prado, who have created a pitch-perfect accompaniment to the dynamic action. The game features exquisite pixel art, bringing lush environments and a menacing cast of enemies to life in striking detail.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is published by Dotemu, a French video game company specializing in bringing back the best video games and legendary pop culture licenses on PC and modern consoles. The Game Kitchen, based in Seville and Tenerife, Spain, is known for creating "Meaningful indie games" with a deep commitment to work-life balance.
