Social First, a team composed of experienced game industry veterans, has announced its first game, Nexus Station. Nexus Station is a cross-platform, free-to-play social sandbox game that aims to provide a new kind of Social MMO experience, with a focus on social connectivity. The game allows players to create their own worlds and content, which can be shared with the wider community. It also features crafting, trading, and clan systems, with plans for an official secondary marketplace for in-game items.

Nexus Station is set to launch into Early Access on mobile later this year, with PC access to follow. The team has already been sharing behind-the-scenes content and teasers with their core community, and to celebrate the announcement, a gameplay trailer and a sign-up page have been released. The team is made up of experts in social gaming, having previously worked on games such as Pixel Worlds, Habbo Hotel, Runescape, and Movie Star Planet.
