NEXON Korea Unveils New Titles and Strategies at 'Next On' Event

NEXON Korea, a leading online game developer and publisher, is shifting its strategic focus towards new title development following a restructuring earlier in the year. The company announced this change at their 'Next On' media event, where they introduced three upcoming projects: The First Berserker: Khazan, Vindictus: Defying Fate, and NAKWON: LAST PARADISE.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a hardcore action RPG set in the Dungeon Fighter Online (DNF) universe. A cinematic trailer was unveiled, showcasing the game's unique cartoon style rendering and thrilling combat. The title had a successful Technical Closed Beta Test in October, with positive feedback from players. The First Berserker: Khazan is set to launch in early 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S.

Vindictus: Defying Fate is an action RPG being developed with Unreal Engine 5, set in the Mabinogi Heroes (Vindictus) storytelling universe. A new trailer was released, showcasing new characters, a formidable boss monster, and an intense battle scene. The next Alpha Test is planned for the summer of 2025, and players can now wishlist the game on Steam.

NAKWON: LAST PARADISE is a survival extraction game set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse. Since the Pre-Alpha Test in December, the team has added various zombie types, rebuilt combat mechanics, and introduced a skill system to enhance gameplay. The game will feature diverse mechanics such as housing, levels, traits, and character customization to help players survive and progress within the game.
