NeverAwake FLASHBACK: Reenter the Nightmare, Out Fall 2025

Pc Games Indie Game Action Game Nintendo SwitchNeotro Inc. and Phoenixx have announced that NeverAwake FLASHBACK, the sequel to the popular roguelite nightmare shoot-em-up NeverAwake, will be released on PC via Steam in Fall 2025. In NeverAwake FLASHBACK, protagonist Rem must once again dive into her subconscious to fight literal sleep demons and enjoy peace.
The game features procedurally-generated arenas and enemies, including twisted versions of youthful fears. Players can combine different weapons and accessories at the start of each run to optimize Rem's attacks. Gabe-chan, Rem's plushie, has special abilities to help turn the tide against the apparitions.
NeverAwake FLASHBACK features 50 procedurally-generated stages in randomized order, with new series of levels and bosses each time. Players can use a simple code to replay a favorite seed of levels. The game combines quick pick-up-and-play action while giving NeverAwake veterans new challenges in a familiar environment.
The original NeverAwake is available on PC via Steam and on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The emotional Nightmare World Art digital artbook and NeverAwake soundtrack are also for sale on Steam.
