The game features a young boy named Ixe, who lives in a village surrounded by a dense fog. With the encouragement of his grandma, Ixe embarks on a journey to explore the world beyond the mist.
The game is set to be released in early 2025, and the studio has already released the Steam page and trailer. Nebelmer is a dynamic exploration game that takes place in a mini-open world, where movement and understanding of environmental features are crucial. The game aims to give players a sense of discovery and encourages them to explore the entire map in a peaceful and pressure-free atmosphere.
Brume Studio is composed of eight students from the Haute École Albert Jacquard in Namur, Belgium. They have been working on Nebelmer since their studies and have won the HEAJ prize for best student game. The studio has presented Nebelmer at several events, including BitSummit 2024 in Tokyo, Japan, and is planning to present it at Gamescom 2024 in Koeln, Germany, and Gameforce 2024 in Brussels, Belgium.
Nebelmer is solely the result of the hard work and dedication of the Brume Studio team, as they have no publisher or investor for its development. The game is based on movement skills and exploration, where players will uncover the truths behind the villagers' myths. The studio's goal is to create a wholesome exploration game that will provide players with a unique and unforgettable experience.
