Freiburg-based indie studio StickyStoneStudio is releasing the full version of its twin-stick roguelite game, M.O.O.D.S., for PC on July 10, 2025. The game, which has been in Steam Early Access for a year, features six emotion-based player classes, each with unique load-outs, abilities, and challenges. The full release includes a final boss and story ending, a new emotion class called Disgust, new weapons, weapon modifications, passive abilities, a UI overhaul, and visual polish.

Major improvements include an overhauled boss AI, balancing adjustments, improved level design, sound FX, particles, and shader performance, stable multiplayer transitions, and improved controls and menus. The game also includes over 150 bug fixes. M.O.O.D.S. is currently available in Early Access on Steam and will be fully available on July 10, 2025. The game features new soundtracks, cutscenes, and full localization for all supported languages.

StickyStoneStudio's goal was to create a fast-paced twin-stick roguelike with real depth and totally insane builds, pushing both mechanical and emotional limits. M.O.O.D.S. offers a unique blend of tight twin-stick shooter action with an unusual core mechanic based on emotions. Players can choose from six emotion-based player classes like Anger, Joy, Sorrow, and Pride, each with unique load-outs, abilities, and challenges. The new emotion class, Disgust, offers a very different gameplay feel with unique abilities and animations.

The full release also includes two new mechanically unique weapons, over 25 new weapon modifications, and passive abilities. The game's UI has been overhauled, and the minimap has been reworked for a more polished visual experience. Dozens of new room types, visual upgrades, skybox improvements, and performance fixes have been added to enhance the gameplay experience. The new soundtracks, cutscenes, and full localization for all supported languages add to the game's overall appeal.
