Pc Games Indie Game Role Playing GameFireshine Games has announced ITER, a mining roguelite tower defense game developed by fluckyMachine, set to release on Steam in 2025. In ITER, players assume the role of an Undercity operative, tasked with extracting resources and harnessing a planet's energy using a mining ship. Gathered materials can be used to enhance mining capabilities, upgrade items and equipment, and build base defenses against mechanoids.
Players have the freedom to choose their career progression, with the potential to explore cave systems for new technology and automated combat systems. The game features a unique death system, where players can spend progression points to help their successor's chances of survival in subsequent runs.
ITER has been well-received by Fireshine Games, with Junior Product Manager Tom Knight praising its addictive gameplay. The game will be available for hands-on demonstration at the Fireshine Games booth during gamescom 2023.
fluckyMachine is a two-person studio based in Warsaw, Poland, consisting of Veronika Harkavenko and Piotr Karski. They are known for creating engaging games with unique art styles and gameplay mechanics. ITER is their third game, following the success of their previous titles.
