Indie Game Pc Games Early Access Virtual Reality GamingBearbone Studio, an independent game development team, has announced that their point-and-click thriller, Minds Beneath Us, will be released on PC via Steam on July 31. The game is set in a futuristic Asian city where society is fully automated by advanced AI. Players will control a character whose mind is ensnared within a foreign body, accompanied by the original owner's subconscious.
Minds Beneath Us tells the story of a guy and a data ghost who lives in his head and controls his body. In this society that has become fully automated with AI, a new industry has emerged that replaces the hardware needed to operate the Internet with linked human brains. The most disadvantaged of citizens have had no choice but to sign up for this procedure, leading to a mysterious conspiracy that players will have the opportunity to unveil.
The game features constant dialogue choices that allow players to shape the relationship between characters and affect the story. Players will need to observe environments, pay attention to dialogues, and look for hidden clues in every scene to unlock new dialogue choices. Minds Beneath Us offers a unique cinematic experience with hand-drawn animation and smooth camera movement, combining 2D characters and detailed 3D environments to present the near-future Taipei street.
