Mad Mimic and Light Up Games have announced that the game Mark of the Deep will be launched for PC on January 24, 2025, and will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Console versions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S will be released later in the year. A demo of the game is currently available on Steam, which includes new challenges such as Speedrun Mode, No-Hit Challenges, and No-Death Runs. The game combines the combat of Souls-likes with the exploration and progression of Metroidvanias, and players will navigate treacherous waters, battle relentless foes, and unravel the mysteries of a haunted isle. The game is being developed by Mad Mimic, an indie studio based in São Paulo, Brazil, and will be published by Light Up Games, a global indie game publisher based in Shanghai. A cinematic trailer for the game has been released and can be viewed on the Mad Mimic's YouTube channel.
