Nintendo has announced the latest installment in the popular Mario Kart series, Mario Kart World, which will launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. The game will feature an interconnected world where players can drive virtually anywhere and participate in Grand Prix, Knockout Tour, and Free Roam modes. The game will support up to 24 players, both online and offline, and will include new techniques such as Charge Jump and Rewind. Mario Kart World will also feature a Battle Mode, with Coin Runners and Balloon Battle options. The game will offer multiple ways to play together, including local and online play, and will support GameChat until March 31, 2026. Mario Kart World will feature new and returning items, as well as Dash Food, which can be purchased at Yoshi's for a speed boost and sometimes unlock outfits. The game will offer even more modes, including Time Trials and VS Race, and will have features like Smart Steering, Auto-Accelerate, and Tilt Controls to assist players. Nintendo Switch 2 features parental controls that let adults manage the content their children can access.
