Magic: The Gathering x Sonic the Hedgehog - Iconic Characters & Items Reimagined

Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast and SEGA have announced a collaboration for three Secret Lair drops of Magic: The Gathering (MTG) cards inspired by the Sonic the Hedgehog universe. The drops will feature reimagined MTG cards and iconic Sonic characters and will be available for purchase on July 14 while supplies last.

The first drop, Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes, includes seven new card designs featuring Sonic characters with original art from fan-favorite Sonic artists. The set includes one card each of Super State, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Dr. Eggman, Miles ‘Tails’ Prower, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

The second drop, Secret Lair x Sonic: Chasing Adventure, reimagines seven MTG cards with a Sonic spin. It includes new designs for Generous Gift, Open the Armory, Fabricate, Deadly Dispute, Unexpected Windfall, Sol Ring, and a Treasure token.

The third drop, Secret Lair x Sonic: Turbo Gear, reimagines some of MTG’s most iconic artifacts into the Sonic universe. It includes The Reaver Cleaver as “Knuckles’s Gloves,” Swiftfoot Boots as “Air Shoes,” Myr Battlesphere as “Egg Hammer,” Hammer of Nazahn as “Piko Piko Hammer,” Lightning Greaves as “Power Sneakers,” Weatherlight as “Tornado, Sonic’s Biplane,” and Myr token as “Egg Pawn.”
